When lost in the mundane of another predictably unpredictable day
A new chain.
When overwhelmed by the unknown on the horizon
A second chain.
When it’s already feeling like 84 degrees at 4:50a
Another chain.
When the baby wakes up too early
A familiar chain.
When the kids are picking at each other
A degrading chain.
When your heart misses your friends and family
A new chain.
When upcoming holidays seem quiet
A distant chain.
When the heat index makes it feel like 105 and your water is out for most of the day
A new chain.
When dinner didn’t turn out like you had planned and the kids complain
An exhausting chain.
When a headache hits again plus a little nausea
A chain.
When you’re overwhelmed with the need surrounding you
So many chains.
When there’s sand in your teeth and all you’re trying to do is understand one single word in the next person’s sentence
A chain.
When it’s quiet in the still of the morning and your heart cries out to the father for the Chopi
Their deep chains.
When your heart prays over your current city, clinging to the truth that sent you here
And suddenly it’s all put back into perspective.
The perspective in which it belongs.
His perspective.
The only thing you’re clinging to.
Break every chain, break every chain, BREAK EVERY CHAIN!!!
-Power in His Name alone.
