We just stayed home that Wednesday. It had been a long journey, those four seminary classes. And a stressed Mommy tried not to make her fantastic four\u00a0CSI victims. We all just needed a night. A night to settle. Get into pajamas a little early and enjoy the nothingness of a\u00a0cleared evening.<\/p>\n

But we were waiting for\u00a0him. Because without him our evening doesn’t\u00a0end like it should. Nope, I’m not talking about mass chaos breaking out, I’m talking about how they relish in His\u00a0teaching of God’s\u00a0Word around the kitchen table.<\/p>\n

But tonight was special.<\/p>\n

Sometimes you just have to make the ordinary special.<\/p>\n

By\u00a0the power of candles.<\/p>\n

It was a glow from some of the\u00a0100+ candles from our wedding eight years ago.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

They waited so quietly and patiently for his footsteps to cross the threshold after youth group.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

It’s the simple, really,<\/p>\n

that makes it all so beautifully extravagant.<\/p>\n
