{"id":9578,"date":"2012-02-06T11:12:00","date_gmt":"2012-02-06T16:12:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/todayslegacy.wordpress.com\/2012\/02\/06\/homeschool-loves"},"modified":"2012-02-06T11:12:00","modified_gmt":"2012-02-06T16:12:00","slug":"homeschool-loves","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/todayslegacy.net\/index.php\/2012\/02\/06\/homeschool-loves\/","title":{"rendered":"Homeschool Loves"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Love how:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Scrabble Jr letters, Upwords letters, Boggle Jr. dice, and refrigerator magnets make their way into letter quizzes, letter identifications and sorting piles.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Any day can be a school day.<\/li>\n<li>Any day can be a break day.<\/li>\n<li>Her ecstatic giggle of accomplishment fuels her, &#8220;let&#8217;s do one more.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Last one!!!&#8221; always comes with such joy and pride of her previous work.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;I&#8217;m gonna show this one to Daddy,&#8221; is a priority.<\/li>\n<li>Science experiments involve smashing old pumpkins into a zillion pieces in the driveway.<\/li>\n<li>Little sister is included in the &#8220;run and find&#8221; identification games.<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;Will it float&#8221; education is added to bath time. (Two-for-one score!!!) <\/li>\n<li>Rachael gives her little sister a hug and thanks her for allowing special time with mommy for learning.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Preschool is just a part of our lives, identifying letters, shapes, colors, numbers and animals on the walls as we walk by during the day.\u00a0 <\/li>\n<li>Abi randomly repeats Rachael&#8217;s lessons while playing nearby. <\/li>\n<li>Grabbing a nearby cat is included in animal anatomy and body-part identification. (They like the appreciation cat treat counting post-lesson).<\/li>\n<li>She can&#8217;t wait to tell Daddy and show Daddy what she learned over lunch.<\/li>\n<li>Nature walks are scheduled regularly.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>School is just normal, structured and yet flexible and gentle &#8211; catered to her pace, my pace, and Abi&#8217;s patience pace for the day.<\/li>\n<li>She is soaking up so much and loving almost every moment of it (let&#8217;s be real, some things are a challenge until accomplished).\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Abi can count to ten as a byproduct of listening in.
