Daddy: “What was the lesson that you learned?”<\/p>\n
Rachael: Quickly, “I don’t know” Shoved noodles into her mouth.<\/p>\n
– Thank you, teenager.-<\/p>\n
Daddy: “Yes you do too know. Think about what you learned.”<\/p>\n
Rachael: ….. “about Josiah.”<\/p>\n
Mommy: eyes the story paper sent home with Rachael.<\/p>\n
Daddy: “What did he do?”<\/p>\n
Rachael: Quickly, “I don’t know.” More noodles.<\/p>\n
– we wait –<\/p>\n
Rachael: “He cleaned up.”<\/p>\n
Mommy: “then what happened?”<\/p>\n
Rachael: “I don’t know.”<\/p>\n
Daddy: “Did he find something?”<\/p>\n
Rachael: “The BIBLE SCROLL!”<\/p>\n
Mommy: “And then they read it to the people and the people knew what God wanted them to do.<\/p>\n
Rachael: shoveling in more pasta.<\/p>\n
Mommy: Turning to Abi, “Is that what you learned too?”<\/p>\n
Rachael: “No. She didn’t learn anything. She just walked around, she wouldn’t do a paper and she ate animal crackers.”<\/p>\n
